There are many WordPress Bluesky plugins already available, luckily now people are ditching X a lot and X has become a cess pool of bad algorithms, bad behaviour of it’s owner/CEO Elon Musk and infestation of bots and trolls. Bluesky is the brighter future for social media, so it’s nice to use Bluesky from your WordPress site instead of X.
So this post on my blog is both a test and a small review of one of these plugins: Simple Auto-Poster for Bluesky by Emma Blackwell. This plugin enables to send every new WordPress post to your Bluesky account. The plugin is easy to set up with the instructions given, it uses a APP password.
Setting it up with the instructions is fairly easy (for a website admin a breeze). Only things you have to remember is that you use a featured image, otherwise the automatic post to Bluesky will not work. That’s only a small disadvantage in my humble opinion. Also the developer may solve that in the future.
Nothing more to say at this moment, as this is a test. Let’s see what happens after make this WordPress post public. May add some text after the text later on how it went.
